We can't say for sure that this is a 1949 as there is no serial number, however 1/7/49 is penciled inside the body and this is similar to other Gretsches of that period. Mark has done some excellent work on this beauty and it plays and sounds very good. This is a real classic jazz guitar that is really in wonderful condition. $595
