One might wonder why the Fender Custom Shop would create a 60s Strat rather than a Stratocaster of one particular year. Their reasoning makes more sense when you consider that they a two piece alder body that is actually carved to '56 specifications. The neck is '65, with and extra dark non-slab rosewood fretboard, which gives it a brighter sound. However, the actual shape is a '66 with a 9.5 radius with a '65 logo. I doubt this guitar has ever been played much and it looks for all the world like New Old Stock (NOS). $2995 with original tan G&G hard case with all the case candy.
