We have had some of the Italian made Bobcats many years ago, and I was never very impressed with them. This semi reissue may actually be an improvement. The Italian version had a very thick lacquer finish what was very prone to cracking rather than checking. The pickups while sounding great on solid body guitars, didn't do much in those instruments. This Korean krafted version is quite light, and the three single coils sound good. This one plays fine. It has high quality retro looking Grover tuning machines, and lacks the low quality whammy bar of the Italian product. $495 with original hard case...including owners manual!!!!!!
