Fender makes cool guitars and certainly makes cool looking ukuleles. This is their first serious ukulele...at least in my opinion. The top is solid Ovangkol and the back and sides are layered Ovangkol. It is a bit thinner than most Kala instruments, but this one really sounds fantastic. It is warm and rich. The Fender electronics are quite good and this comes with a nice gig bag. At this price ($245) I will be getting a whole lot more!
